One-Touch Freedom Load the ingredients, close the lid, one-touch to start, and walk away. It’s just that simple. No Pressure… Pressure cookers use high-pressure steam to cook foods, which often ruins texture. The Stir Cooker’s® heating system supplies heat beneath and around the cooking chamber to heat food quickly and thoroughly. Master Your Nutrition Cooking with the Stir Cooker® promotes higher nutrient retention than other cooking methods. Its shorter cooking time prevents the nutrient loss that occurs with boiling, steaming, or microwave cooking. Expand Your Menu The Stir Cooker® can cook a wide range of foods: meats, seafood, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, stir-fry, ethnic dishes, vegetarian dishes, soups, sauces, frozen foods, even gourmet popcorn. Recipe book included! Dinner is Served—Now! The Stir Cooker® cooks fast. Really fast. Cooking time is only 3-6 minutes from raw meats and vegetables to ready-to-serve dishes. The Stir Cooker® helps hard-working, busy people enjoy home-cooked meals in dramatically reduced time. Seconds, Please! The inner pot can cook up to a half-gallon of meats and vegetables. Make individual dishes for picky eaters or multiple batches for hungry crowds. We’re Causing a Stir The Stir Cooker is the first of its kind, offering automated, hands-free stirring in a tabletop appliance. Automated stirring allows closed-lid cooking that keeps the moisture and flavor in the cooking chamber. Foods cook in their natural juices in this moderate moisture and heat environment. This low-pressure, moist-heat process consistently yields tender and succulent food. Fire Safety The enclosed non-stick cooking chamber allows cooking with little or no oil. Less oil and enclosed heating reduce dangers in the kitchen. Trim Down Your Clean-Up The non-stick pot and removable stirrer are easy to hand-clean with water and a little soap. For even less hassle, pot and stirrer are dishwasher safe. A Portable Tabletop Chef The Stir Cooker’s® compact design is ideal for camping, tailgating, boating, and RV trips. Its attractive design looks great in any kitchen. Simply Delicious The combination of fast-cooking, moisture retention, and focused heat yields delicious dishes. Meats and vegetables are flavorful and ready to serve after only a few minutes in the Stir Cooker®. Home Environment The emissions filtering system of the Stir Cooker® controls the amount of fumes released from cooking, leaving your kitchen and the rest of the home with cleaner air. Splash-free cooking keeps your countertops spotless and your clean-up time at a minimum. Powerful Savings The Stir Cooker® pays for itself in energy savings. Gourmet Simplicity developing Infomercial Treatment and Creative Concepts We open on a black and white video: a 1950’s style kitchen with a neatly dressed woman in an apron (ala Donna Reed) smiling as she prepares a meal. We hear happy 50’s style music and a voice over (sounding like an old instructional film) “The happy housewife spends her day preparing the family meal so everything’s perfect when the man of the house arrives home from work..” A graphic abruptly interrupts the scene that says: NOT A CHANCE. We cut to fast music and cuts of modern-day hectic life: working moms racing around, fathers picking up kids, women at the office, dad’s trying to cook, etc..as voice over begins “with today’s hectic lifestyle, a healthy home cooked meal is often impossible to make…..until now”. We dissolve to shots of the Cooking Master Standard as v/o describes that for the next 30 minutes we’ll show you how even the busiest adults can make delicious meals that practically make themselves. Disolve to the show open as we open to our kitchen set. We have two hosts. Host 1 is a spokesperson, host 2 is a chef. Host 1 tells us that the Cooking Master is revolutionizing the way we cook. The product is briefly described -- a tabletop household cooking appliance that stirs and cooks food all in one. The chef demonstrates the technique with a Cooking Master and shows a spread of various foods that he cooked in the Cooking Master. We then cut to a prerecorded segment that highlights all the great features of the CM502. Back on set, the chef goes into more detail about the ease of use showing how braising, simmering, browning, sautéing, mixing can be done without even being in the same room. Host explains that we’ll meet several people who’s lives have been changed by this amazing piece of cookware. Cut to…. Working mom segment: We cut to a prerecorded segment of a working mom talking about how little time she has to prepare food for her family. Our voice over says that we gave “mom” a Cooking Master for one week to see what difference it could make. We then see her using the CM502. We see that while the food is stirring, she is able to sit down and help her kids with homework, take care of family pets, read a magazine. We then hear her testimonial on what an impact the CM502 had on her lifestyle. Back on set, the hosts pitch to the prerecorded short informational piece about the CM502, and how you can get yours. Cut to on set with the hosts, the chef explains that it not only saves time, but its so easy anyone can use it to create fabulous meals. Even a bachelor who can barely boil water. Cut to next segment: the bachelor. Prerecorded segment with bachelor telling about his busy life at work and his busy social life, and how he‘s a terrible cook. Shots of him eating out, eating fast food, empty refrigerator, burning toast, etc. Voice over explains that we gave “bachelor” a Cooking Master for a week to see if it would make a difference. We see bachelor using the product with ease, following simple recipes, watching TV while, typing on computer, talking on phone, while CM502 does its thing. We see bachelor inviting girlfriend over for a home cooked meal. Bachelor testimonial explains how the product changed his life -- made him healthier, avoided expensive restaurants, impressed his girlfriend and actually got him to enjoy cooking because…..he hardly had to do anything! Back on set hosts laugh about bachelor’s good fortune with the CM502 and pitch to the prerecorded overview piece -- with it’s call to action to “order yours,” We cut to a group of testimonials: people from all walks of life talking about the great benefits of the Cooking Master. Back on set, the host and chef demonstrate the ease of use, by following a recipe. The chef puts the ingredients into the Cooking Master and we see the machine do its thing. The chef explains that while the machine is stirring, the cook has freedom to do whatever he wants to do -- preparing the next portion of the meal, reading a magazine, watching TV, etc. We see the finished product and host and chef rave about the taste. Cut to: more testimonials about the Cooking Master. Back on set, the host says they are putting the Cooking Master to the test. They introduce a housewife who describes herself as a good cook. She is told that she will be challenging the chef to a cook-off. He’ll be using the Cooking Master, while she’ll be doing everything the old fashioned way. The face off begins, we see both the chef and woman chopping veggies and throwing them into their respective cookware. However, the chef sits down and reads a magazine while the woman stands over a hot stove stirring her food. We cut to chef opening lid, adding a few more ingredients, pushing a button and sitting back down to his magazine. The woman, looking frazzled, adds more ingredients and continues to stir and stir and stir. This goes on for a short while. Until the woman says “I give up!” The chef puts his arm around her and tells her they’re going to give her a Cooking Master. She is thrilled… We cut to prerecorded overview piece -- with it’s call to action to “order yours.” Back on set, host says that the Cooking Master isn’t just for busy families, young working couples or bachelors. Cut to a segment featuring an older, retired couple. The couple explain how they love to eat good home cooked meals but it can get tiring to slave over a hot stove. We describe how we gave the couple a Cooking Master for one week and observed the results. We see the couple putting ingredients into the Cooking Master, then we see them sitting nearby playing cards, reading, etc… while the machine does the rest. They rave about how great the food tastes and how easy it is to use…and how they now have more energy and time to do the things they love to do. Cut to more testimonials -- people from all walks of life, ages, etc talking about the benefits of the Cooking Master. Cut to the prerecorded overview piece -- with its call to action to “order yours.” Back on the set, the chef and host are surrounded by delicious looking meals all cooked in the Cooking Master. They wrap up the show, again pointing out how The Cooking Master is more than just a fabulous piece of cookware it gives people freedom and positively impacts their lifestyle. A home cooked meal never has to be a chore again. We give the order information and fade to black. Variations: *We add a segment featuring a spokesperson from the Gourmet Simplicity Company who comes on the set and describes first hand, the reasons the company developed the product. We cut to prerecorded segment at the Gourmet Simplicity headquarters, showing the product being tested, designers working on it, production in the factory, etc. We hear about the science behind the product and see the quality that goes into it. We cut to prerecorded segment at the Gourmet Simplicity headquarters, showing the product being tested, designers working on it, production in the factory, etc. We hear about the science behind the product and see the quality that goes into it. * To see if the CM502 makes food that tastes as good as homemade, we do a taste test. We have the chef create a meal using the standard cooking methods and one using the same ingredients cooked in the CM502. In our prerecorded segment we see the chef preparing both meals and we see him taking samples out on the street. We see people trying both samples and most can not tell the difference. However, many prefer the Cooking Master-prepared dish over the traditionally cooked food. * Instead of having a host and chef in a traditional TV kitchen set, the entire infomercial is shot in a large upscale home kitchen, during a dinner party. The show hosts are a young married couple who are preparing the entire dinner party meal in the Cooking Master. However, they do not talk to the camera in a traditional “host” sense. They only talk to their dinner party guests to describe the great features of the CM502. Throughout we cut to various segments mentioned previously (the prerecorded overview, the working mom, the bachelor, the older couple) but instead of coming back to a host and chef on set, we come back to the dinner party, where this couple continues to use the CM502. * Instead of an unknown spokesperson host, we use a famous TV working mom: (Jane Kaczmarek, the mother from “Malcomb in the Middle”, Patricia Heaton, Ray Romano’s “wife” from “Everybody Loves Raymond” etc….). This host relates her character’s woes as a busy mom and her real life woes as a working actress and mother. We intersperse more of this famous TV mom’s testimonials about the benefits of the CM 502. And we see prerecorded segments with her using the product in her own home. |
